WHO’S THAT GIRL?

Emily Ash Powell is a writer who finds it much easier to write bios about herself in the third person. She spent her childhood in South Wales writing captions, notes and ‘how to’ guides with her Nannie and never went far without a notepad an a pen. She once had a poem published in the Donkey Sanctuary magazine, which she would say is her greatest achievement to date.

As a copywriter, Emily’s written words that engage customers for exciting brands like dog food companies who change the world of pet food (tails.com), fintech companies who change the world of finance (Circle), charities, agencies (Proximity London) and more. She re-reads these words to herself in a range of accents (usually Scottish), to make sure her words make sense in a voice that’s not her own.

She also writes articles and features on this blog and in a few other places too. If you’d like to commission her to write something for you, you’ll find out how to get in touch below.

If you were to summon Emily using a salt circle and only give objects, you could successfully do so with a mug of Yorkshire Gold tea, a Border Terrier, a bag of salt & vinegar McCoys, all seven Harry Potter books and a subscription to the Sunday Times Style magazine.

Emily enjoys making terrible financial decisions on ASOS and eating all crisps. She will not be your friend if you don’t love dogs.

SO, DID YOU WANT SOMETHING?

If you’ve got some words you’d like written, you can email Emily at emilyashpowell@gmail.com.

If you want to chat in 280 characters or less, you can tweet Emily on Twitter, the place she lives without paying any rent.

And if you’re less words but more snaps, see what she’s up to on Instagram, where you’ll find many photos of dogs – some she knows, and others she doesn’t.
